Want to see a lot of people smiling and furry pets wagging their tails?

Better yet, how would you like to be part of this joyous event?

All September long, Fresno Animal Humane Services is teaming with Granville Homes to waive adoption fees. There is no better way to find a new family companion than via the “Free-Fur-All.”

What’s more, all of the pets you see in the video with GV Wire’s Jamie Ouverson are available for adoption right now.

A donation from Granville ensures that all of the dogs and cats at the Fresno Humane shelter will be spayed or neutered and microchipped. In other words, they are ready for instant adoption.

“At Granville Homes, pets are family, and we believe every dog should have a loving home,” said Granville President and CEO, Darius Assemi. “We hope you will save the life of a furry four-legged friend, and adopt a dog today.”

Fresno Humane Animal Services is a unique shelter that includes top-notch veterinarians, local animal rescue representatives, and seasoned animal control professionals — all working together with a common purpose.

Their goal is to improve the quality of life for Fresno County’s animals by providing a full range of progressive animal control services with a focus on education, animal reunification, adoption, and community safety.

“Dogs that are not adopted here in Fresno are often picked up by rescue organizations out of state who are looking for large breed dogs,” said Fresno Humane director Brenda Mitchell. “By having them spayed or neutered and microchipped, these animals are almost guaranteed to be saved.”

No one, animal shelter or an individual person should ever, ever, give animals away for free. There is an extremely high probability these animals will be abused, killed, sold for research or as bait animals for dog fighting. This is a long proven fact. If you care about the animal you are trying to find a home for, always make the new owner pay for the animal. The end results are always better for the animal. This fact has been proven over and over again and I am sure Fresno Humane know this. How cruel and stupid of them. Shame on them. My opinion of them just decreased many notches.
