Manchester Center was one of Fresno’s first super malls. In the intervening decades, it has been surpassed by Sierra Vista, River Park and Fashion Fair.
Now, Manchester’s parent company, Beverly Hills based Omninet Capital, vows a comeback. The plan calls for a new entrance, marketplace and a new structure called “The Pad.” New tenants include Chipotle, Habit Burger and Marshalls.
Omninet and city officials held a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Mayor Ashley Swearengin. The first phase is expected to complete by 2017.
